ITS

An intelligent transportation system (ITS) is an advanced application designed to provide new services related to different modes of transport and traffic management. It enables users to be better informed, and take advantage of transport networks in a safer, smarter, and more coordinated manner. ITS technologies include state-of-the-art wireless, electronic, and automated technologies. When ITS technologies are applied to system management (transit and highways) and vehicle design, they can reduce fuel consumption.
