Mixed Traffic Flow
The introduction of Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs) into the transportation network is expected to improve system performance. Still, the impacts of CAVs in mixed traffic streams are a different story to be studied. As AV’s market penetration increases, the interactions between conventional vehicles and CAVs are inevitable.
